Experimenting with Look

Something completely out of the norm for me.
So whats going on here? I was set a challenge to do something Avant-garde. So what is avant-garde ? According to my dictionary it is many things
“… avant-garde became associated with movements concerned with “art for art’s sake“, focusing primarily on expanding the frontiers of aesthetic experience…”
“Innovative, original, experimental,left-field, inventive, ahead of the times, cutting/leading/bleeding edge,new, modern, innovatory, advanced, forward-looking, state-of-the-art,trend-setting, pioneering, progressive, Bohemian, groundbreaking,trailblazing, revolutionary; unfamiliar, unorthodox, unconventional;informal offbeat, way-out. ANTONYMS conservative.”
So basically anything not in the norm. So using the Unorthodox and Unconventional tags I selected the Chrysalis – Heartbreak as a starting point. I then went to look for a nice watery area and played with the light settings to get this post holocaust setting. The picture could be titled something like “Mutant”.
